About This Project

I was inspired to build this NES coffee table after seeing something similar on Facebook. I thought it would be a fun project and a nice addition my basement man cave (where I play video games). I grew up with Nintendo and just seeing a Nintendo console makes me feel nostalgic.

This was probably my most challenging woodworking project. There weren’t any plans. I used my brother’s actual Nintendo console for reference. Since I didn’t have a lot of time to work on it, it took me about a month to get the box built and assembled. I used two full sheets of 3/4″ birch plywood so the table is super heavy and durable. The door on the front opens for storage (blankets, pillows, etc.).
